Halls Creek Caravan Park near the town centre was a real dive when I visited in March 2007. Very dirty, indifferent manager. Stayed there only to do laundry. Next time I'll definitley stay bush. There are quite excellent roadside stops allowing overnight stays 50 - 100 km north.
