The Pyrenees are an unexpected treasure. The area has remnant vegetation that is variable and was forestry years ago. It is managed by the Victorian DSE (Sustainability and Envioronment) and they allow good 4WD access to areas all through the
Pyrenees Range.
The tracks are variable from easy to challenging. The ones on the Eastern side towards Avoca have rocky outcrops and ledges to climb up or down. There are some steeper tracks within the area, but an easier "chicken" track is available
