Hi my name is Kevin McDermott and was part of a 6 vehicle tour which took in the
Blue Rag Range Track on 14th March 2008. I can only suggest to anybody that may be going there, that this will be one of the greatest experiences that you will have in the Victorian High Country.
The track itself is currently a little worse for wear and is a lot worse than when I was there the same time last year, especially the last section up to the
trig point. It is currently very loose and rocky but did not worry our vehicles too much.
The
views on this track are just sensational, and when you arrive at the
trig point you are and feel as though you are on top of the world. We did not get down the other side to the
river camp as time was against us and from all reports there is only enough room down there for four vehicles.
I would recommend this track to anyone wishing to experience one of the best tracks in Victoria but would NOT recommend it to the inexperienced driver or vehicles without low range.
Enjoy Macca
