Andamooka, from what I remember of it, it is a jolly little place, especially if you strike it rich with a huge packet of fire-opal. Everyone seems to get "Opal-Fever" while they are there. To me the lovely star-lit night skies is the magic of
the desert. Who needs fireworks when you can see it all happening up there overhead. By day wear a hat & take a bee-keepers veil to ward off the flies. Take plenty of cash, because you will end up buying some opals as souvenirs anyway. cheers. - John
