Myself and a number of partners camped at Mt Ida for a lengthy period in the mid 1980's, whilst retreating gold tailings there. Great gold area, and full of history and early prospectors diggings and relics. It never ceases to amaze me how far the old fellas went out, in the late 1800's and early 1900's, chasing the yellow metal. I've heard other prospectors say how they found signs of prospectors camps in the Blackstone Ranges.
