Recently (May 2011) did a lap of Oz on a large touring motorcycle & camper trailer, made the huge mistake of pulling into Goldwire.
Toilets and shade area is 100 metres off road, track was bulldust covered invisible ruts and potholes, and even though we were going quite slow our bike flipped over on its side after becoming uncontrollable in the sand. My pillion partner got a broken ankle which ended her holiday.
WA main roads needs to make these rest areas SUITABLE AND SAFE for ALL TRAVELLERS!!
