Stanley waterhole stradles the boundry of Canobie and Monstraven properties and is about 15 km to the east of the highway between
Julia Creek and
Normanton / Burke and Wills Roadhouse. Beautiful
waterhole about 5 km in length and has a good sandy / grassy bank with paperbarks for a
camping spot. Mainly used by Julai
Creek locals for fishing (barramundi) after the wet season. Will need directions to find and approvals of respective graziers to enter. Inaccessible if wet.
