There is a fantastic fresh
water swimming hole where the Lawley River meets the mangove system. Follow the eastern arm of the delta all the way to the end. Leave the boats and follow the river about 200 metres. Unlikely as it is because of its position, we were told there was a sighting of a croc in there once. Beware of a rock ledge just a few hundred metres before the end of that eastern arm - it is safe at high tide - fully exposed at low tide, and bloody danderous in between.
