A great reserve to
camp in, can be accessed with care by a 2wd car or easily in a 4wd. just type in spur road korbel in your navman and when you reach spur road follow it for several km's, oh watch out for stray sheep, kangaroos and goannas.
Their is 3 campgrounds in the reserve created in 1860s for woodcutters, pioneers and prospectors to
camp in, the main
campsite is a very large
clearing, a few modern day
camp fire sites dot the area. A creek runs the length of the reserve and on both sides of the creek you find a steady rise up into the
granite peaks that dominate the reserve.
Spur road is a circle road that runs around the reserve, if you stick to going clockwise on it then you will find the main
campsite within a few minutes of entering reserve, as you get further around the road narrows and you then find the third
clearing which is
campsite 3 that now overlooks wheat fields that border the reserve.
