Has anyone had any experience in using KULKYNE (Yamaha engine) generator, currently I'm looking to buy a 2Kva generator. Recently I borrowed a 2Kva Honda and it worked very well, however the Honda is priced about $2000. Whereas I casn get a Kulkyne for about $1300.
Has anyone had any bad experiences with these.
Cheers Bob

Hi, Lots of different ones out there. Recently bought a 4.4 kva electric, remote & manual start, eco run, 15amp socket, plug in battery leads, LED display for $600 delivered. Limited use so far but no problems. Just run a carby of fuel through it once a fortnight so the carby doesn't foulup. BIll

Also depends on serviceability too....... I bought a Yamaha 1kva and yes cost me $1400, but at least if it breaks down I can go and abuse the people I bought it off personally. and they service it too......... I too looked at the cheaper units and was sorely tempted

G'day bill f
It sounds like your is a generator only, at 4.4kva and $600, so it possibly won't be sine wave inverter generatoror frequency locked, which many people require for sensitive elctrical stuff and modern TV's.

Horses for courses, and people need to be specific, both in requests for info and in the reply given. Prices, reliablity and power performance factors will vary greatly in these replies unless this observed.

Your in for a bit of a shock Ross, these generators are Digital Sinewave. Honda & Yamaha dont have the Digital sinewave market to them selves any more Way over priced.
