Strezlecki & Oodnadatta Tracks

We are currently planning a trip from Innamincka down the Strezlecki to Lynhurst then along the Oondatta to William Creek & then across to Coober Pedy in our Discovery towing our dirt road caravan. Has anyone been on these roads recently? what condition are they in?

The Oodnadatta is well maintained but you can expect rocky patch here and there as well as the odd corrugation. It is mainly affected by weather conditions so it would do to check the SARoads website as you travel. The Strz is a super highway these days and even has bitumen overtaking lanes in places. The road from William Creek to Coober Pedy is usually in good condition again dependant on weather and time of peak use like school holidays.

A blog from our trip in July may give you a few ideas.
