Hi Murray,

I don't know about a Navman but I use Ozi Explorer on a cheap chinese 7" GPS that I bought on ebay. The gps also comes with Igo for city travel so it is similar to the hema units they sell for $800. I bought the chinese one on ebay for $100 including a reversing camera, bought the latest hema maps for $180 and Igo uses the latest sensis maps.

I have saved myself about $400 and have a unit that has never let me down, have a much larger screen than many others (7") and also have a rear vision reversing camera .

Hope this helps

cheers

Andy

Hi Andy
I have done exactly the same.
Chinese 7 inch unit with Ozi Explorer for windows CE.
However I have all the LPI topo maps for NSW and VIC on SD card.
Works a treat.
Use Igo to get there then ozi during the trip then Igo to get home.
Mine cost me $85 with free delivery.

Hi Andy
Here is the link
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/7-0-HD-600MHz-128M-RAM-GPS-Bluetooth-AV-IN-4G-2010-Map-/120699724291?pt=GPS_Devices&hash=item1c1a43a203#ht_5776wt_1187
All the street maps come on an SD card.
What I did was put oziexplore for CE on another SD card along with all the LPI maps of NSW and VIC in Ozfx format.
When I'm on the road I have the street SC card in and when I go off road I swap them over.
It seems to work for me.

I recently unlocked a ICN520 Navman, it is an older unit so I thought OK.
The ICN520 uses WinCe operating system.
Do you know what OS your unit runs? I understand not all Navmans run the same OS.
Mine runs OziCE and although I havent tried it out much it will run a Basic ECW 250,000 map converted to OZFX3 and loaded onto the Navman.

I did this to learn more.
Hope this is of help.

Ross
I believe that it runs WinCe as the OS. What program did you use to unlock your Navman

Hi Murray. If it uses wince then follow the earlier post on this site and make the necessary adjustments to boot it up for the model of Navman that you have. I have found this has worked well. Good luck. Leigh

Murray,

Let me know how you get on and if you need any help. I had to redo my SD card a couple of weeks ago due to some corruption so it's still fresh in my mind.
