Hi Just got a Masters catelog. In it what looks like a Yami 1000 copy for $398. Some of the geni brigade might like it

I'm surprised you haven't been inundated with "Chinese Crap' statements yet.
It sounded like it was worth a look, so I called our local Masters store.
The brand 909 is named after the 909 day warranty, but whether that is confidence or wishful thinking remains to be seen.
They also have 2kW units (max 2.2kW) for $500.
Supposedly the tool section manager has the 2kW unit, and has used it camping, and it really happy with it.
I'm going for a look, thanks for the heads up.

When I spoke with the sales person at Masters about the brand he said that Woolies had bought the GMC brand and had it rebranded. They look alright for the price but wouldn't mind a user report before spending the money.
