Cookie1i - 496 kms, 5 hrs easy travel time, and sealed all the way. This is State Hwy H49, known as the Goldfields Hwy, and it's a very important mining route.
The only concern you'll encounter, is a substantial number of roadtrains, and they're all triples out there.
Wiluna to
Meekatharra is unsealed, but a
well graded, excellent condition gravel road, posing no problem to even 2WD's.
I might add, this is feral animal country, too. Hoppers abound. Drive after dark at your risk.

Thanks for this, looking at Google Maps driving directions it states over 7 hours but given it is 535km I wasn't sure and don't want to commit to a timescale that isn't realistic
Again Thanks for your reply
cheers Colin

Colin - Yes, you're correct - my error on the distance. 533kms is the precise MRDWA measurement. I got my erroneous figure by looking at the wrong line.
All my other info is correct. It's an excellent road, comparable to the Eyre Hwy.
Cheers - Ron.
