Due to a work issue I have had to cancel the family holiday to the red centre this year. We had planned a trip over a 6 week period but no longer possible.
I now have 3 weeks and we have decided to let the kids plan our trip this year. They want to go to Australia Zoo in Beerwah. They were talking about heading over to Frazer Island for a week or so as
well with a slow trip
home (NSW Central Coast). Any suggestions? How about Stradbrook Island.

Fraser Island is great, however Stradbroke is still interesting, you can explore the beach in a 4wd, you can
camp in some decent Caravan Parks or stay in units with all the amenities you need.

More looking for bush camping. Happy to head inland if you have suggestions that way.

For a great bush camping spot with water you could try the
Mann River nature reserve inland from
Grafton on the Old Glen Innes road. Bit more info and photos about it in our blog
here
Could be a bit cool though, depending on time of year.

Hi Stew you will need atleast a week just on Frazer and still wont see everything . Straddie is allright but i would use that time around between noosa and Frazer maybe stop off at yamba on the way
home or even Brunswick heads .

Have spent 6 weeks on fraser before so no need to see everything. Just want to relax for a week or two with some fishing.
Heading off in July so swimming may be out of the question.
