Owl Lover
Hi there, I'm new here and am thinking of going on the road with my two boys. Has anyone else done this? Any tips or words of advice.
Not sure if I can stand much more of the suburbs, the country is calling me.....

How old are the boys? Good luck with your journey.

Hi
John, my boys are 6 and 14. Are you traveling alone or with partner? Have you been traveling long?

Do it now.
Your 14 yo will soon be too old to want to leave his mates for an extended period.
I travelled with my 10 yr old girl and 11 year old boy for three months in 1994. Did the western loop and had a great time. Been on many more trips since. The wife came on a few but the big one was too much for her. She flew up and spent a couple of weeks with us in the Kimberly.
Negotiate with your kids about education. Even if they fell back a bit at school [not likely] it is still worth it.
Don't just dream... do it.
