V8 Troopy Water Tank

Any ideas for fitting an under body water tank to a 2008 GXL Troopy, or anybody know of any available for sale?

I haven't seen one on the 08 model, but the one I saw was from Long Range Automotive and it looked like it would fit under my 08 GXL Troopy. It tucked up underneath on the drivers side toward the rear axle.

I went for a 60 litre water tank that sits inside in front of my fridge.

We fitted a 50 litre bladder in the space between the inner cardboard panel and outside skin in the section on the passengers side between the door and rear wheel. the cardboard panel was replaced with thin ply, filler neck was at the top under the window and the drain tap was at the rear of the running board.
We also replaced all the cardboard panels with thin ply with access holes to store stuff in the other panels including the rear doors.
The same space on the drivers side can hold four five litre containers of oil.

If you Google the following, there maybe a tank to suit your requirements:

Dolium Tanks

Poly Rv Tanks

Snake Racing (they look to have a new line of tanks/jerricans now)

All the above are poly tanks. I've got an 80L water and 80L fuel tank made by Poly RV, that I bouight from TJM, in Townsville. These would not suit your troopy, but other tanks they have might. Paid $350 - $400 for the above tanks.

Bob.

Seen it all, Done it all.
Can't remember most of it.

Fitted 55L stainless behind the rear fuel tank. This tank has been under 3 Troopies including 07 V8 and current model. Electric pump pulls the water up to inside back door tap. Pump is mounted near the back door and inside away from the elements.

G'day Geoff,
Away for the weekend having fun so hence you didn't hear from me. It was made privately, but if I send you dimensions and a couple of pics how does that sound. Send me your email if you want those details.
