200 Series Bullbar

Gday,
I am going to take delivery of a new 200 series Cruiser in June and would like some feedback on the best Bullbar to have fitted.
I got a bit sick of cleaning and polishing the Alloy bar on my 80Series and am leaning towards a painted (black),steel bar. Most of them, (the ones I have looked at), seem to require modifications to the steelwork on the vehicle which I'm not too happy about. Would appreciate any comments.

Jim if you getting a new March 2012 on build date there are no bars for them except the factory type (maybe).

I would go an ARB steel bar every time, proven reliability and build quality.

Re: Modifications to the steel work.... I don't know what you mean, all the ones I have seen are straight bolt on unless you mean cutting of the factory plastic bumper for the fill in panels?

We have an ARB winch compatible steel bar on ours.

Most new vehicles will require cutting and there is no use for the standard bumper anyway.... most get chucked except for the ones the owners want and think they will use it one day.

There is nothing wrong with cutting the plastic.

Have a look at a TJM type 13 bumper replacement bar. They do not require any cutting of the front bumper to fit them. They come with moulded plastic infills that attatch to the top corners of the bar. They come in black powdercoat or can be colour coded to suit your car.
