Hi all
I will be in Nowra tomorrow, and need to then get to Bungendore. Google maps has suggested going via Braidwood road via
Nerriga , Oallen, and
Tarago. Does any body know what this route is like??? I will be in just a Falcon
sedan tomorrow. Is the road sealed, or dirt??
Appreciate any local knoweldge, or suggestions on other routes, or best back up to Moss Vale. have plenty of time, but wife flys out of
Canberra tomorrow night.
Thanks.
Simon

There is just a little bit of dirt (a few k's), my son lives in Sanctuary Point (Jervis Bay) and I live in Queanbeyan and we always go that way, my son drives a Falcon and there is no problem and it is much shorter.

Just as an add on, the road via Kangaroo Valley and Moss Vale is a very Scenic drive if you have a bit more time.

Really??? I reckon you have your roads confused.....I travel from
Canberra to Nowra at least 8-10 times each months and that road you have shown has at the very least 15-20 km of quite rough gravel road. To avoid most of the gravel you need to take the Oallen Ford road towards Targo......this way is all bitumen except for about 2.3km section.

I agree - as of a month ago, still about 20km of "good" dirt and if there is passing traffic expect lots of flying stones.
But otherwise good bitumen.

I will add a vote for the way through Oallan Ford and
Tarago as
well.
