Canning Stock Route

Heading up the Canning Stock Route last week of May. Travelling in Hilux with my Blue dog. Does anyone know the track conditions? Did the trip 1978, Hope I'm not in for shock!

That's a long time between drinks Dave. She's a pretty well worn track out there now. Apart from the sand dunes, there is not a lot that is technically difficult but the corrugations and sheer length of the trip make it a test of endurance on man and machine. Some great spots to visit along the way though. Good tyres and a a compressor are essential.

Video and blogs (with video clips) should give you an idea of what to expect.

Enjoy.

Cookie, my experience is for that end of the Canning is 25 years old so probably not valid. Tend to come on at Well 9 thru Glenayle these days.

Cheers Mick

Colin,

My info is from 2007, the road was good then.

This picture was taken about 15 kilometres north of Well 2.
