Just a quick message to say that a mate had his mobile home broken into in Perth the other day; amongst the things stolen was a Barret HF radio, BC950R, s/n 1578. If anyone is offered this for sale, could you please contact the WA police.
Thanks all,
Gerry

Apparently he had a full security system on the vehicle, but they were smart enough to get around it. Parked in his driveway. I'd say they were locals, had probably cased the vehicle for some time, then struck when they'd worked it all out.

Yup.. Probably..

In this case it should be under insurance eh?

I'd find the bleep head who did it and steal something from him... See how he liked it! (or beat his head in, one of the two)

Amazing...I think they knew what they were after. We are always amazed that no one ever tries to steal our HF antenna base as it is left on the vehicle permanently. You'd have a hard time trying to get it off mind you, but they don't even vandalise it. Yet, as you probably heard on Boxing Day they smashed our rear window and tried to remove the bolted in fridge. Holiday crime sux. Yes - use this site to put up a wanted ad as bait - anything to catch them out is fine by us. ExplorOz Watch...Regards Michelle,

Yeh, they left the auto-tune antenna, but that may have been something to do with it being securely bolted.
Read about your dillema, now thinking about locking our fridge in the back.
Thanks for the forum - it's great.
