My Shop Item Rating:
I received my Hema Navigator 6 yesterday. Ordered Sunday - Delivered Monday am. Fantastic Service.
Initial thoughts.
The unit itself is ready to plug in and go.
I'm a relatively experienced OziExplorer user so I set up the usual tweaks I like in a few minutes.
I like the bigger screen and the new Hema user interface. Its just that bit more useful and easier to use on the go I didn't have any need to refer to the manual.
I preferred the feel of the Hema 5" I previously owned. This new unit feels marginally less robust - but that's just a feeling.
I really like that it comes on automatically when I turn the ignition on and the USB Mass Storage option
Potential buyers need to keep in mind that the main reason for buying this unit is OziExplorer - If you don't need to upload your own maps or use the pre-installed electronic versions of paper based maps then this product is not for you.... But for off road enthusiasts this is probably one of the best (if not the best) electronic mapping
tools you can buy. Worth every cent in my view.
Oh and you get free ExplorOz
membership to boot.

Update.
I've now used the iGo navigation on the Hema HN6.
I must say it was much better than I expected and a big improvement on my old Hema 5" so I take back what I said about the HN6 being only for OziExplorer.
The turn by turn navigation is very good and adds real value to the Unit. I still maintain that you should be able to get a good turn by turn Nav unit for less than 740.00 But This unit has that + Off road mapping.
So it is a very good unit for the City and the Bush.
