I have been looking into getting a turbo upgrade on my hilux. AXT Turbo have a upgraded ball bearing turbo that gets rid of the vnt turbo. all the electronics gets bolted to the vehicle and still works just so the
check engine light does not come on. i am wondering if anyone out there have put there kit on and how they perform?

Not sure if getting rid of the VNT will be a good thing for driveability...?
But I too will be intersted to hear of people's experiences

What's wrong with the factory turbo.... if you want more bang get a V6 petrol.
There is a mob in Thailand who do BIG turbo upgrades for the 1kd-ftv with I think is about 190Kw and 560 Nm.

I have a super diesel smart module on it now and run 24psi all the time everyday and make a genuine 116kw at the rear wheels. stock i made 82kw at the wheels. I have used most of the chip/modules available and found the diesel smart to be the best so i started selling and tuning them. I have seen these turbo kits in thailand but i would like to use a Australian made turbo kit. I am about to order an AXT Turbo kit but would like to hear from someone that has put one on there vehicle. they claim a 20% increase in power without doing anything.

this guy lives and breathes turbos all DAY AND NIGHT.
he has a post on outerlimits.com 4wd site.
you can get him their, hmm dont know if thats what youd look up on the web though, worth trying.
a customer with a 1hd ft had a turbo upgrade, it hauls ass, big time, and phenominal on fuel towing too.
his posts are on their too.
