gday
we are in
perth and are wandering if anyone knows where we can get an extra
water tank made up to suit a 2011 jayco outback swan, as the one from jayco wont fit unless you get the camper made to take one
cheers

Trev - Do you require a metal or poly tank? Getting a one-off made to specific dimensions could be costly. I don't know of any sheet metal crowds still in business making small sheet metal tanks, they nearly all went out of business in the late 1990's as poly and PVC tanks took over.
A caravan supplies and accessories mob might have a ready-made poly tank on the floor that will do the job. There's a lot of ready-made tanks available.
Most sheet metal crowds in
Perth today would only be interested in mining project jobs, or air conditioning ducting, or stainless fabrication for housing interior work.
However, there's a crowd that look like backyarders, and their place always like a bomb hit it - but they have been in business for donkeys years, and they specialise in small jobs.
The business is Federal Sheet Metal, and they're in Jackson St, Bassendean. They could be worth a call if you require a custom-dimensions sheet metal tank.

We put an extra tank under our small pop top caravan. Got a poly plastic one from Camec. Mounted it with metal straps....easy to plumb in and even mounted a guage in it.
Camec has several locations in
Perth...just google them.
Cheers

Trev,
Rota moulding in midvale. They make quality tanks and much thicker than most poor quality tanks that some stores sell. The range is huge.
As always, you get what you pay for.

What do you mean by "as the one from jayco wont fit unless you get the camper made to take one"? You will need hanging brackets to fit any tank under you Swan.
Here are some.. They fit various caravan tanks.

you get 1 tank standard that fits between the cross members on the bottom of the camper because they reverse the cross members. If you dont tell them that you might put another tank on later they wont reverse any off the other cross members to fit another tank. You need 400mm between the cross members to fit a standard jayco tank. There is 390mm between if you dont get them reversed. Yet another wonderfull thing from our friends at jayco.

Try looking up BOAB tanks, local to you at Dolium
Custom tanks will cost $600++ - metal or plastic
