The EO Site is by far the most useful
information source I use to help with trip planning. Thanks guys.
I also use a google docs spreadsheet to help with the detail.
I've put a link on my blog and made it available for anyone to use.
Feel free to help yourself.

WOW, some of you guys are really organised. We usually just get up in the morning and decide which way we are going. We have a general plan but never so detailed.
When we did our big trip our first couple of weeks was fairly organised but we found it to restricting. So then we just picked a direction and made it up as we went.
If your on a deadline I guess it's different but I could never be that organised as I find to many things along the way that distract me. Some days we would only make it a 50-100kms, then find something else we didn't know was there. We always allow a day or two each week spare to make time for things you find along the way. Friends of ours did in 3 months what it took us 7 months. We planned it to be 3-4 months, but there was so much more out there to see.
That is a really detailed plan and a lot of work has gone into making it, good on you for posting it for others use.

I've found for the long trips that are remote - something like this helps plan refuelling, camping spots and making sure get do everything we want to.
We do end up making changes on the go - so we never treat it as rigid.
