Devils Marbles is about 100 klms South of TC, there's also The Pebbles which is about 13 klm North of TC. haven't stayed at The Pebbles myself to comment on, but Devils Marbles is quite a nice spot to stop at for the night.
cheers.

From my point of view the further away from Tennant Ck the better.

Two places I avoid. Tennant Ck and Moree.

G'day Rockape

Never been to Moree but as Tennant Creek and Wilcannia are 2 of my favourite destinations I guess I had better visit the place ! I'm always looking for new and exciting places to go !!

Cheers

johno,

Last time we went through there we stayed the Devils Pebbles (not to be confused with the Devils Marbles)

They are north of TC and of the Three Ways and are on the western side of the highway. From memory you drive about 5k in off the highway.

Cheers,

Cruiser

Hi Johno,
When we were in TC in 2008 we camped at a place called the Pebbles which is just north of TC. The place was very clean, toilets and no sign of any vandalism. There are not that many campsites and there were 5 other campers there as well.

Gooday
Try The Pebbles about 11 KM North Of Tenant Ck, turn west, a few of KM of good gravel and a great well kept spot, really quiet No 20 in Camps 5.
Cheers,

The Pebbles is an Aboriginal Women's cultural site. Being some kilometres from the highway it would be quiet and private camping. I note that toilets are mentioned in this thread and in camps 5, although i did not recall seeing them there. We visited the Pebbles but did not stay, as we had caught up on civilisation with a night at the Tennant Creek Outback CP after a few weeks of bush camping.

The Pebbles, is a great camp. It is managed by a local indigineous group

It has drop toilets and they were quite clean.

We stopped there for just the one night in July 2010 and it was magic.

There were only two other campers.
