I need some new tyres and with the amount of use the 4wd gets it is not worth the $300+ for BFG or Cooper or Mickey T's (it just sits in the shed until play time)...........so - has anyone had any experience with Summit Mud Hog tyres? The specs seem pretty good and they look ok and the price seems ok but..........nothing like a bit of real world comment. rgds

If it is just a 'play time' rig why not shout it - and yourself - some good quality tyres? It's not like you are wearing them out every day on the daily commute...? May I suggest that when buying, price means nothing unless you know what the quality/performance is. Having said all that, I have never heard of them so will be intersted in what experiences people have, too. I bought KUMHO tyres 20 years ago and got laughed at!

You might have been laughed at... But how did the tyres hold up..... and do you still use KUMHO?

They were OK but they were on a VW Beetle and I was at Uni and earning about $110 a week.
Now I have Cooper AT3s on my Hilux. And Yoko track tyres on my VW :)
