Hi All
Thanks in advance for the information.
Does anyone have the latest cost for crossing the
Jardine by Ferry. I have heard
$99.00 return but would like to be sure so we allow correct cash amount
Thanks

Hi Graeme, at January 2012 it was $88 car + $11 trailer (=$99) return which includes the permit. I do not know if that is still current as it has been that for several years and must surely be due for change.
If you want to be certain phone the ferry on 07 4069 1369.
It is best to have cash as the EFTPOS seems to frequently go out of service. Some cynics suggest it was to maximise cash trading but in reality it is probably dodgy phone lines.

Hi Graeme, we did
Cape York in 2006 and it was that price and my sister told me when they were there in 2004 it was also that price - so whether it would have changed since January this year is anyone's guess.
Just a little snippet - we camped on the
Jardine River (over the other side) for a couple of days when we were there next to the linesman's hut - beaut spot - freeeeee. It was just in the middle of nowhere. Sorry cant really remember exactly where it was - remember driving for a little bit though - in the
Jardine River National Park.

Graeme
I am up above the
Jardine now. The $99 figure includes a trailer or caravan. If you are a senior it drops down to $77 for vehicle and van/trailer.
