How to Plan a Trip

Getting ready for the road, be it a three week trip or a three year trip might seem something of a daunting task, whether you are a 4WDriver,

Planning our first big trip up north and was wondering if anyone knows a good site for a check list. Obviously we'll take the important stuff like TV and satellite dish but things that we might not think of. Important things like generator etc.

There are a number of check lists in the archives.

Just type in 'check list' in the search area above.

When the results come up have a look at the last one. Then go back and look at the rest.

Hi Merredith D, dont worry to much there are always shops on the way if you forget something. Personally we dont worry about TV to much we are glad to be outdoors, it can save some weight.Check your van for weight before leaving as it is easy to get overloaded. We worry more about water and food and spares for the vehicle, should also add mossie spray. Dont forget the camera and a sense of adventure, the road you dont turn down may be a excellent little quiet camping spot.
