Check road conditions before you leave but normally you will breeze through,

However, be prepared for hoards of drunks. If you want to see
Birdsville at it's best, go any other time, you'll love it. Happy trails, Mike.

Hi Axel & Karen, if you contact me just before you leave
home to head to the
Birdsville Races, either by phone on (07) 46563214 or email on ruthdoyle@growzone.com.au I will give you an up to date road report - best tip - cover the back window of the Ford with a beer carton to stop the stones hitting the front of the trailer and smashing your back window. Brilliant tip that - only costs a few dollars and saves a thousand - no back windows in
Birdsville. Be prepared for a great time - really don't see that many drunks - the fresh air, long days drinking stubbies from breakfast time knocks a lot of them out by 10:00 p.m. Happy travelling.
