There's plenty of room at a
river crossing back towards
Normanton, about 30km from memory. We checked it out on the way up, and came back and camped there in the dark after watching sunset at
Karumba a couple of years ago. I presume it would be OK despite big wets since then.
We were warned about crocodiles in the water, and a brown snake got someone's dog while we were there, but that's life in the north!
Cheers, Gado

You can
camp past the Airport along
the beach, we use to
camp here. Just keep driving along past the wind sock there are some tracks at the end of the road.
