I have been contemplating fitting a diesel or gas heater to my Jayco Eagle for SA winter camping, the price has been putting me off but I have found the a company called diesel heating Australia. Seems like good value. Has any one got some feed back on their products. link below

http://www.dieselheatingaustralia.com/default.html

Thanks I'm advance.

Hi Alex,

It is defiantly that time of the year!

We have never heard of this product before... It may well be a decent find. There are several diesel heating manufacturers popping up the moment, but they do every year around winter time and in a lot of cases nowhere to be seen next year! What may cost a little more to begin with will save you in the long run. E.g. Efficiency, warranty, after sales service and spare parts.

There are several heating options in the market place at the moment. We'd like to share a few ideas with you, see the links below:

Diesel Heater (Of course) you can see a video at the link below too:

Feel free to call us on 1300 259 499 if you have any questions, we'd love to assist.

All the best and try stay warm in the meantime! :)

The Snugger Diesel Heating Australia parts are like Dometic Eberspacher terribly expensive and no alternative source. Reports in USA and Canada are not brilliant. Truma gas heaters are ripoff price in Australia and can be purchased overseas for near half price. Other issue is Truma gas is expensive to run.

Dometic Eberspacher service is disgusting and the diesel heater is not very reliable compared to other brands. Dometic Eberspacher parts prices are *EXTORTION* Wherever possible avoid anything Dometic Waeco due to lack competent service and *DISGUSTING* parts prices. Dometic equipment should always be the very last choice.

Webasto Diesel heater is easily the choice for utmost reliability, excellent service from Webasto if needed and reasonable to cheap parts prices if ever needed.

Hi Alex,
I have seen one of those units in operation in a motor home installed by its owner, a builder from Tassie. I was impressed at the price.

They work very well but as to their reliability and parts pricing I cannot say.

I got onto one similar on ebay for considerably less than the $900 asked by Diesel Heating Australia. See link ying several.

_nkw=planar+heater&_sacat=See-All-Categories

I was nearly going to get one and decided on a $100 butane job from BFC for the moment.
I know the downside - for all those out their that are about to jump on me. Don't bother, your wasting your time.

That's about all I can add to the enquiry.

Cheers, Bruce.

That link did not work for me so type in Planar heater in ebay and see what you come up with.

I'll try the link again.

the second link works and brings up several located in Australia.

Reasonably cheap compared to Truma or Eberspratcher.
