Just got the 6 - great machine and more orientated to Ozieploer use.Check out the Hema deatils in the Shop.

The Hema Maps are not nearly as detailed as the Australian Geosciences Napmap series. I will load my original maps up rather than the Hema 4x4 version. The latter are fine for general touring but the Natmaps offer more detail.

Hi Boxhd

I have recently updated from the original HN5 to the new HN6 and there is a lot of difference.

With the new HN6, there is only 2 forms of Navigation, the street iGo Navigation and then there is OziExplorer - the only reason why I have the units.

Compared to the original HN5, it is fare easier now to import data from a PC. In the old system, you would add the imported data, eg waypoints or track files into a folder and them add them to the correct files on the micro SD card and then open the HN5 and use the data that way.

Now with the new format, it is just like using a full version of Ozi, send and receive data directly from the new HN6 when connected to the laptop as you would do with a normal GPS when connected to OziExplorer.

I am yet to give it a full workout - that will happen in a weeks time, but so far the bigger size is the way to go.

Cheers

I just picked up a 6 yesterday after doing all the homework. I am a technology @&^*%, well let's say, not too good at it! Iplayed with it last night and it is very easy to use, very happy!
