Hi folks wondering if u think
water gauges are worthwhile for caravans and if they are expensive to buy and have installed

Hi BJ,
I fitted one to our caravan a few years back and find it very handy. I have 2 x tanks but only fitted one guage. I just use the
tank without guage first and when it runs out switch over to the guaged one and know what
water I have left. It was an easy DIY job.

Yes it is worthwhile. Makes everyone more conscious of
water usage...and gives an approximate guide of usage/ available
water supply.
I bought
mine from Camec...(google them) and fitted it in situ myself. Trickiest part was running wires from underneath up thru wall and cupboards to a spot near the sink and tap.

Fitted one of these flow meters and mounted 30cm after 12V pump to avoid flow disturbance. Is in a cupboard inside the caravan and can see amount of
water used. Reset after each
tank fill.

Bunnings have exactly the same unit in a Holman brand with Gardena click on fittings for same price.
