Hi,
Have read plenty now for first post. Hope to be up Mt Isa way late July. Have heard of such a thing called the Georgina Run or track but cant find any reference. Does such a track exist and where does it go from -to??
Appreciate any

Hi Alan,
I'd hate to have your first post go without a reply.
I Googled Georgina Track and it's mentioned in a Slim Dusty song, "Georgina's Son"
- Trucks and roadtrains taking over, the drovers been pushed out.
The old track is seldom used anymore.
This song is dedicated to the drovers of yesterday and today
and to the last of the great droving stock-routes,
the Georgina.
Which begins at
Lake Nash near Mt Isa, and ends near
Bourke
in western New South Wales.
Here's the site I found it on -

It gives us some homework to do now.
Steve.

It doesn't seem to be a track now. It was probably a stock route that now travels through private property, although, there is access through property using stock routes in
places.
Did you have a look at the ABC video on
Lake Nash Station? That was pretty interesting.
Hoo roo,
Steve
