Can anyone help with advise on the road between Mitchell and Bollon as to whether it is sealed, dirt, and if suitable for an on road van.
Just got a couple of days off and was going to head out that way with the van.
I know a couple of members live out that way and may be able to help.
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Hi,
Don't live out there but we have stayed at Bollon in the free camping area it is beautiful. If you have a canoe take it as it is lovely paddling on the creek

Mitchell to Bollon has around 50% sealed and the rest is gravel and natural foundation and is subject to wet weather.
So I suggest that you check before traversing that road.
We traversed it last year with an on road van driving to the conditions and had no trouble. On the unsealed section we trundled along around the 60/70 kph mark.
Some interesting country to see as well.
After a lot of rain it would be a no go.
I used to have a handle on life, but it broke.

Cheers Dodg.

They have just had 50+mm of rain so I would NOT be travelling on that road for at least 2 weeks especially if towing an on road van.

Cheers Kev
