Track closures - Brindabellas - This long weekend

I just got an email about some track closures around Canberra in the Brindabella Ranges. This is mainly for those in the Canberra area but any visitors to the area may be interested as well.

Due to wet and dangerous conditions they (NPWS) are closing several tracks in Brindabella prior to this long weekend. The tracks closed will be:

· Waterfall FT

· Lowells Flat

· McIntyres FT

· Folly FT, and

· Bag Range FT


This means all access to Lowells Flat and McIntyres Hut will be closed.

Gentle Annie FT and Webbs Ridge FT would remain open as they are in good condition

A few of us from our club are also going out with the NPWS on the weekend doing track checking and clearing as required. The area we will cover is in the NSW south east forests/parks area from Canberra to the Vic border and over to the coast. Should be interesting and busy. Seems like those storms wrecked a bit havoc over the last few days. Better change the wheels to the mud set.
