Karijini Camping

Hi ,

I recall ready about a camp spot near to Karijini with limited amenities but either free or very low costs. My brother is heading that way in a few weeks, so can anyone assist with more information about this camping area?

Regards Blaze

G'day Blaze

Possibly with just a little more information, someone may be able to assist with this camping spot location.

The Mount Robinson 24 hour rest area sounds like the place you are searching for, it has limited amenities and it is free of charge.

Other than that, there are hundreds of very nice places to camp for a day or two between Newman and Karijini.

Gday Joe, Mount Robinson I know and yes that would be good for a 24hr stop and I do like the look of Wunna Munna, just going to have to work out where it is. I camped at dales campspot last time I was there, just I remembered when we got back hearing about one outside the park.

ah

where your talking about has no facilities

you head on past the eco tent place and not long after you get to a tight corner up hill. - youve gone too far

just before the hill corner is a track off to the left - its not obvious but easily visable

this section of road actually loops outside the park and taking this track there are quite a few bush campsites

Dales Gorge (my favorite spot in all Australia) has DEC camping area. I think it is now around $5.00 a head per night. Drop toilets on site and dump point and water at visitors centre 8 klm away. Sealed road all the way there.

At the western end is a private operated camp ground with all facilities (power, water etc) but is in the high end price range. Unsealed road access that can be very rough/corrugated.

There are places that is possible to free camp at outside the NP.

Yep I like Dales also, just i had heard of one outside Karijini, this is well inside with a heap of tourist spots right along side, he was hoping for a more remote setting.

Cheers
