I'm probably well behind the times (not a caravanner) but I coudn't find a post after searching so I thought I'd put this up. Saw the cover of "Caravan World" yesterday and thought the feature was quite interesting:

Sorry if someone's already posted, I'm not the best at searching!

Cheers,

We saw a guy in tassie with a large bus set up as a camper. On one side he had a deck area that lowered down and sat level at about 3 foot of the ground. He had a rail that stood up around it and a large tree in a pot that he put out as well (his wife wouldn't leave home without it.
He had great views and was up off the ground. Great idea I thought.

Solkwood - Now, that's got to be the cleverest and neatest idea I've seen in a long time, and you sit and look at it, and think - why didn't someone think of that long ago!

Cheers - Ron.

I've owned 2 x 32' Viscount vans and never even thought about a deck on any kind.
All we ever did was put up a big annexe on one side, and lay down old pallets for a raised floor, and then cover the pallets.
