Shame that no one had updated the Place page with this info as the site will automatically direct them to it. I've just added the info in that previous post (thanks fred for directing me). But it was only fluke - I don't ever intend to try to keep up with all posts in the forum. Do people know that anyone can add info into a Place? Just click EDIT PLACE to add/edit the description and then its stored in the right place for the future. Also, the auto-keyword hyperlinks ONLY work when there is a photo added to a place so please add your photos, it all helps others.
cheers,

Michelle, I think this subject requires some serious promotion by David and yourself. Adding to place details is a great way for members to give something back to the site. I have been taking photos of camping sites that I stop at, even for morning tea or lunch, and adding them and some comments to the information already there.
Cheers,
Kevin

Thank you Kevin,
Yes Places is a very valuable part of the content resource offered by ExplorOz. The links you see to place names in the body text of posts for examples occurs to provide readers with quick access to the Place page but the link will only appear if the Place page has photos - (this ensures you get something worthwhile for your link). The way you are doing is perfect! Well done. It's pretty easy, and rather fun to see the information appear on the site and to share it with others to help them enjoy their journey too.

Hi Shaz and Steve,

I am happy to tell you that Tobermorey is definitely open for camping and also has diesel and unleaded. My husband and I are the managers here so would love for you to pull in and spend the night here. If you want any further details you can look up Tobermorey under places and it will give you further details and also my phone number should you want to know anything else

Hi Sharon, we will be passing through in a couple of weeks time, would lve to call in & spend a day or two, only thing is we need to know if you are 'dog friendly', as we will be traveling with our Golden Retriever.
Before the anti-dog brigade start, we had planned to do the Anne Beadell Highway last month, but my wife took ill & we had to cancel, we had house/dog sitters booked, but unfortunately they had commitments & we last our window of opportunity.

Hi Shaker,

That is fantastic you will be stopping over. Dogs are not a problem. We do ask that they are on a lead or something as we obviously have working dogs here at the station also. We also have a "Tobermorey" mascot, a little Dachsund (Sausage Dog) by the name of Dangi, so your golden retriever will have company!

Looking forward to meeting you.
