Station wagon annexe

Was advised by fellow traveller of an annexe thing that slots on the back of a station wagon at night for extra storage and leg room. Anyone familiar?

Have had a few tries searching here and google but cant find anything

Rays outdoors and amazon outdoors stores in NSW/VIC/QLD stock them. Attach to vechile with suction cups, last saw them in a catalogue for around $180.

Any idea what they are called? I have searched rays outdoors site for tents and annexes etc with no luck.

Try Rays site - go to Camping tab, the Tents etc tab and pick the Shade option.Check out the last one - is that what you're after?

Thanks guys. To be honest i"m not 100% sure what i was looking for.

Fellow campers saw my set up and suggested it.

Basically would like something for occasions when I don't feel like setting up the 4 man dome tent.... like its raining or just need a quick sleep etc. Suction cups sound good, so I can stick it on the back (Subaru Outback, and store a few boxes under it and give me that extra 5 cms I need in length to sleep comfortably in the back of the wagon.

The Rays outdoors one looks good and is a nice price, and I'll be in Cairns tomorrow so will check it out in person, see how small it folds up etc.

HI All,

Just wanted to follow up. I bought the Rays Outdoors one for $74.95 with club discount in Cairns.

Arrived camp last night, after long day snorkelling the reef, more than exhausted, and managed to get it up fairly easily in the dark and had a fabulous nights sleep.

Its a little too big for my station wagon, would be better for Pajero etc, but with some tweaking with rope etc will be fine.

So just wanted to say thanks for the advice. I'm a happy camper today!
