rear recovery point on GU tray back

Hi all I have a closed 1/2 D shaped ring bolted to the rear cross member of my GU tray back it is factory fitted , can anyone tell me if this is a SAFE recovery point for snatching or should I look at adding after market hooks ,Telfer mines rd

I reckon using aftermarket tow points would be advisable, as the original looks a bit weak.

It's a fairly safe bet that it would be good for towing but not snatching even though a closed loop type is usually very strong. If you can get some more precise info from Nissan that wuld be helpful.
I have fitted a recovery hook to my GU Nissan trayback, attached to the outside of the RHS chassis rail using high tensile bolts.
