My Shop Item Rating: My Rating 5/5

Excellent map can not believe it even tells you when to change your tyre pressure when going along the track .

What happened to thinking for yourself Kym?
I'm not saying you don't however that's a bit Nanny orientated.

Does it also tell you where you have to stop for morning and afternoon tea?

Cheers
Alan

I thought so as well. But I purchased one because I need to know where all the hot showers and toilets are.

But at $12 delivered it will help to rub a few spider webs and dust out.

PJR don't forget about dump points, they probably have recommend speed as well.

And maybe they will advise you when to change gear. You know those moments when you just can't decide whether or not to change into third. If it was written down for me it would make it so much easier :)

I am stuffed now. I have an auto so I don't know how to change gears. I better pick a different track.

After our first trip to New Zealand we were a little disappointed that we were lacking material for our trip's photo album. For those who don't know what albums are, they are the hard copy books/folders that travellers put together before blogs. I still do not use blogs. Albums are something tangible that you can drag out and sit in the sun and read, touch, smell and remember. You cannot stick a small satchel of red sand from Big Red in a blog. But you can smell the aroma from a bit of oil squeezed from a wild flower and smeared on a page in an album.

The planning map is mainly for the album. As will any postcards, stickers, dried flowers/weeds, receipts, tickets and fines (junk stuff) that we gather on the way. And not to forget the photos.

Kym

He wasn't saying you were a mug. Just a little leg pulling that's all.

I have been driving for years, yet I still read the books and check the lists. It's a long way back to get that special spanner or more importantly the can opener for the baked beans. But they are pull to open cans now.

Kym,

If they are inexperienced travellers they should not be in the Simpson Desert!!

Cheers

Then how do you get experience without going. I do not think the back yard counts.
