Hi,
Does any one know what the road is like from
Menindee to the Silver City Hwy via
Lake Cawndilla and
Lake Tandou?
I understand it's around 100k from
Menindee to the Hwy.
What's the surface like?
Two Wheel Drive???
Cheers.

From what google maps say,the bit from
Menindee to
Lake Tandou is 53km and takes 2.5hours so it sounds pretty rough. When we were out there last year we had a look at the Menindee/Pooncarrie rd and thought it was pretty rough so we went back up to
Broken Hill and down the Sliver City hwy. We actually enjoyed the drive as we had never been out that way. Along that
lake area we saw quite a few big Semis with maybe ore or similar on them that came out from the
Lake Tandou area so there may be a
mine or similar at the western end. If so the road that end may be a lot better. Cheers, Bob

It's O.K., just drive according to the conditions, but, if there has been rain forget it.
