G'day travellers! :) has anyone driven
the Tanami track between
Alice Springs and
Halls Creek in the past few weeks? I'm about 1 week away of making the decision to take it or take the long way around following the bitumen. My Hilux should be capable but I do have only the one spare tyre. What do you reckon?

G,Day bushmonk, Did it 3 weeks ago no worries only corrigations all the way to HC but always expect the unexpected and pack for punctures, diesel was $1.78@HC, $2.15 @ Tillmouth

Ditto bushmonk...also did it a few weeks ago in a hilux....no punctures (but
well prepared)...very corrugated in
places, ok in others...monotonous trip but quite straightforward.
