is there a sign for the freshwater track and how far back from the cherry venture is it . thanks

yup. Its about 4klm back from the cherry venture and is a very interesting drive. Sandy track through rainforesty type stuff. Even if you get the tides right would still take this track as you will not see anything much different to what you have already seen, if you go via the leisha track and Mudlo rocks. The disadvantage is that it will take longer, about 45mins if I remember rightly.
If in doubt buy a map of the Cooloola region. The mobil at Noosaville sells a black and white version and is pretty good
