Hoping to travel along the Butchers Track WA between Northampton and Shark's Bay to head East to Carnarvon/Mullewa Road. Has anyone driven this track recently? Needing to know condition and also landmarks for turn off. Thanks

Hi

Turn off is 20km north Billlabong, usually good sandy dirt road, haven't been on it for a while though.

i came through there from murchison settlement last tuesday, the track is in excellent condition, could of sat on 100klm an hour but i was happy just cruisin along at 80.
as for landmarks ,it is well signposted.
i reckon the inland murchison/upper gascoyne area is a great spot for a bit of touring and bush camping.

cheers,

Thanks all for your replies. I'm hoping that I've chosen a good route on this one. You know, being a girl and all and being the one to plan the trip. Hope all goes well. Thanks again for the info
