Hi everyone,
We are planning a trip to Fraser Island around end of Nov, and were after your recommendations for some rental accommodation. There seems to be quite a few to choose from, and we were just wanting some first hand advice. We are planning on staying down the southern/middle end of the island. There will be two families with kids.

Any thoughts/recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks guys

Kattie

Hi Kattie, As you say, there are a number of rental units or cabins to choose from. Some are rather upmarket at Eurong and Happy Valley. I recommend Cathedrals on Fraser as being the most kid-friendly and less expensive. It is a private campground which includes cabins. The whole ground is fenced to keep dingoes out, there is space for kids to play and it includes a convenience store.

I have not stayed in a cabin but it is our preferred campground when we visit Fraser Island. Their phone number is 07 4127 9177.

Cheers
Allan

Depending on how many kids you'll have in tow, have you considered renting a house at Eurong?
Come any closer and I'll rip your throat out!
