Hi,

I have a 320 that I want to hook up to my laptop. I have the cable that came with the unit and I purchased a serial to usb cable so that I could hook it up to the laptop.

My problem is that my laptop and home PC will not pick up the device. Is there something I am missing? Do I need some special software or something?

We have oziexplorer and natmap raster.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

Jeff

If you have configured both oziexplorer and the GPS to the same baud rate then it is probably the serial/usb cable, some brands don't work too well with some laptops.I may be mad but I'm not crazy

Hi Jefrey:
I have a 310 (very basic unit) hooked into a Toshiba laptop.
Assuming that you have power everywhere, and you are outside, go to the Oziexplorer Menu to "Moving Map/Start NMEA Communication etc etc ...
As long as everything else is setup correctly you should get something happening.

Confirm I believe both devices need the same baud rate. This is a problem I resolved with my Magallen 315 many years ago. I would have though newer Devices and software would have been smarter.
