hi all, we were thinking of travelling the
birdsville track mid september this year and were wondering the size of vehicle that can be transported on the ferry. We own a 100 series cruiser and an aussie swag camper.? Has any one been on the track lately, thanks Judy

I have never been so I googled it and found this. •modifications in 2011 allowed the transportation of vehicle/trailer combinations up to a maximum of 9.8 metres (maximum was previously 7.8 metres). Taken from the below site

I think you will find that the ferry is no longer in use as the
Birdsville Track was opened to traffic some months ago

We came down the track 2 weeks ago and described it as the "
Birdsville expressway". I.e. no ferry and the road in fantastic condition.
Happy trails, Mike.
